Kathryn Charlotte
Baird
Kathryn Charlotte Baird, age 96, of Sarasota, Florida, and formerly of
Greenville, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday February 8, 2012 at 3:25 PM
at Doctors Hospital of Sarasota in Sarasota, Florida. She was
born on May 25, 1915 in Camden, Ohio, to the late Otto Vernon &
Laura (Null) Brown.
Kathryn had been associated with her late husband in the ownership and
operations of “Baird Construction Company” in Greenville from 1946-1970
as well as being a homemaker. She was a member of St. Paul United
Church of Christ in Greenville.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband
Herbert Newton Baird whom she married on August 31, 1935; son, Vernon
Kent Baird; brother, Oscar Brown; and sister, Vietta Gangwer.
She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
There will be a graveside service held on Monday, February 13, 2012 at
10:30 AM at Spring Lawn Cemetery in New Paris, Ohio, with Pastor David
Cummings officiating. There will be no public visitation.
Arrangements are under the direction of Zechar Bailey Funeral Home,
Greenville, Ohio.
It is the wishes of the family that memorial contributions be given to
the American Heart Association or American Cancer Association.
