Taylor
Kathleen E. “Kathy” Taylor, age 78, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on
Friday, December 30, 2011 at 3:00 AM at Versailles Health Care Center
after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s. She was born on November
12, 1933 in Shelby County, Ohio to the late Roy A. Simons and Helen E.
(McGreevy) Simons Peiffer.
Kathy (or Hoppy as she was known at work) retired from Fram/Allied
Signal back in 1998 with over 46 years of service. She loved
gardening, canning, and traveling.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her brothers,
Leroy, Bill, and Lewis Simons; and sisters, Rose Ann and Priscilla
Simons.
She is survived by her husband Bill Taylor of Greenville, Ohio, whom
she married on October 16, 1965; son and daughter in law, Robert
(Betsy) Taylor of Clayton, Ohio; brother and sister in law, Harold
(Linda) Simons of Union City, Ohio; sister in law, Ardell Simons of
Poplar Grove, Illinois; sister, Helen Gerlach of Trotwood, Ohio; sister
and brother in law, Barb (Paul) Wiford of Centerville, Ohio; and
sister, Carol Strayer of Sidney, Ohio; as well as numerous nieces and
nephews.
There will be a service held on Saturday, January 7, 2012 at 10:30 AM
at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, with Rev. Fr. John White
officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenville Cemetery,
Greenville, Ohio. Family will receive friends on Friday, January
6, 2012 from 5-8 PM at the funeral home.
It is the wishes of the family that memorial contributions be given to
