Greer, Sr.
Steven W. “Steve” Greer, Sr. 55, of Greenville, passed away Friday
afternoon, July 6, 2012 at Rest Haven Nursing Home in Greenville.
He was born July 4, 1959 in Greenville, son of the late Everett and
Lucille (Melling) Greer. In addition to his parents he was preceded in
death by his brothers, Bobby, Gary and Larry Greer.
Steve had worked as a maintenance Technician for Cal-Main Foods.
He is survived by his children, Tori Greer, Chad Greer, Steven W.
Greer, Jr., and Jonis Greer; grandchildren,Chad Austin Greer, Chad
Greer, Jr., Cody Greer, Emilee Goodyear, Kristine Goodyear, Autumnrose
Goodyear, Kaytlin Greer, Peyton Greer, and Corbin Greer; and sisters,
Patty and Barbara.
Services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, July 12 at the Oliver-Floyd
Funeral Home in Greenville with Pastor Sam Shilot officiating. Burial
will follow in the Greenville Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 10
a.m. till 11 a.m.
