Alice Moore Hollinger

Alice Moore Hollinger 90, of  Greenville, Ohio, passed away  on July 22, 2012. Alice was born on August 10, 1921 in Greene County, Ohio to the late Joseph and Verna(Miller)Coy.

Alice worked as a Assistant Administrator at The Brethren’s Retirement Community. She worked there from 1964 until 1984. She was a member at Cedar Grove Church.  Alice had a love for many things. She was very passionate about music and playing the piano. She also cared very much about her church and The Lord. Alice enjoyed sewing, quilting, cooking and baking. One of Alice’s prized possessions was her family. She loved all her family and loved to be with them and each one of them were special to her.

Alice  is preceded in death by her first husband, Clyde M. Moore; second husband, Lester Hollinger; daughter in law, Mary Lou Moore; brother, Lawrence Coy; step grandson, Jacob Heck.

Alice is survived by two sons and daughter in law, Steven C. Moore of Hollansburg and special friend, Becky Wogoman, Mark C. and wife Gina Moore of New Paris; Daughter and son in law, Kathleen and Alex Warner of Greenville; nine grandchildren, Jodi Petersime, Shannon Swank, Wade Moore, Andrea Moore, Stacie Brown, Alison Miller, Lauren Warner, Lukas Moore, Andrew Moore; 11 great grandchildren; four step children, David and wife Linda Hollinger of Arcanum, Mary Etta and husband Edward Reinhart of Quarryville, PA, Donna Jean and husband Dewayne Heck of Roseville, Ohio, Marion Hollinger of Columbus, Ohio; 10 step grandchildren; 17 step great grandchildren

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 28, 2012 at 10:30 AM at Cedar Grove Church with Pastor Tony Price officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services on Saturday and on Friday, July 27,2012 from 3:00 until 7:00PM. Burial will be at the Cedar Grove Church Cemetery.

The family requests that memorial contributions be given to Cedar Grove Church or  Brethren’s Home Resident Aide fund .  Services entrusted to Braund Funeral Home in New Madison. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.braundfuneralhome.com
