Betty E. McEldowney
Betty E. McEldowney, age 88 of Greenville, Ohio and formerly of
Versailles, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday July 10, 2012 at 2:55 PM at
Heartland of Greenville. She was born January 2, 1924 in
Versailles, Ohio the daughter of the late Simon & Martha (Cyphers)
Bashore. She worked for 30 years as an inspector for Versailles
Poultry Producers and for 10 years for Weaver Brothers retiring in
1987. She was a member of Versailles Christian Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents; Husband: Paul
McEldowney; Daughter: Beverly Crick; 6 brothers & sisters.
She is survived by her daughters & sons in law: Shirley &
Robert Clawser, Lebanon, PA, Paula & Walter Day, Union City,
Indiana; Grandchildren: Kathy Stewart, Barb Clawser, Mike
McEldowney, Carrie Clemons; 12 great grandchildren.
Services will be held on Friday July 13, 2012 at 12:00 PM at Bailey
Zechar Funeral Home, Versailles, Ohio with Pastor Dennis Wheeler
officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.
Family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Friday at the
funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the
Alzheimer’s Association.
