Marion F. Saintignon

Marion F. Saintignon, 81, of Greenville, passed away early Saturday morning, May 12, 2012 at Reid Hospital in Richmond.
 
He was born January 9, 1931 in Greenville, son of the late Bernard Saintignon and Naomi Josephine (Thompson) Reed. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Rodney Saintignon and a brother, Melvin Saintignon.
 
Marion was a veteran of the US Army having served in Korea. He was a member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Greenville, the Eagles and American Legion both in Union City, and the Ft. Recovery VFW.
 
He is survived by a daughter, Roxanne; brothers, Duane, Donald, Danny, and Bernard “Dennis” Saintignon; sisters, Kathy Mader and Barbara Hiatt; and numerous nieces and nephews.
 
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 17, at the Oliver-Floyd Funeral Home in Greenville with Rev. Fr. John White officiating. Burial with full military honors will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Dayton National Cemetery in Dayton, OH.
 
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 10 a.m. till 11 a.m.
