George W. Dixon
George W. Dixon, 62, of Greenville, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday
morning, September 19, 2012 in the emergency room of Wayne Healthcare
in Greenville.
He was born December 25, 1949 in Pocahonas, VA., son of the late Herman K. Dixon and Cleava Jewell (Pennington) Isaac.
George had worked most of his life as a machinist in the
tool and die industry. He was a veteran of the US Marine Corps having
served in Vietnam.
He is survived by his children, Angela (James) Sisco of
New Madison, Donovan (Tracy) Dixon of Greenville, Tanya (Randy) Ricker
of New Madison, Natalie Dixon of Greenville, and Nathan Dixon of
Greenville; 13 grandchildren; 1 great granddaughter; sisters, Dottie
Hampton of Tipp City, and Kelley Tipton of Vandalia; and a very special
companion and caregiver, Mary Grill of Greenville.
Services with military honors by the Greenville Veterans
Honor Guard will be held at 12 p.m., Saturday, September 22, at the
Oliver-Floyd Funeral Home in Greenville. Burial will follow in the
Greenville Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 10 a.m. till 12 p.m.
