Karen L. Osborne
Karen L. Osborne, 64, of New York, New York, passed away unexpectedly at her residence.
She was born November 1, 1947 in Charleroi, PA, daughter of Ruth
(Jarrett) Osborne of Greenville, OH, and the late Ernest C. "Ozzie"
Osborne. In addition to her father she was preceded in death by a
sister, Jennifer Osborne.
Karen was 1965 graduate of Greenville High School in Greenville, OH,
and held a B.S. degree from Miami University in Oxford, OH and a
Master's degree from Harvard University. She was self employed as a
free lance editor. She was a patron of the arts and an avid reader.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by a sister and
brother-in-law, Marsha and Mike Bowman of Rossburg; a brother, Richard
Osborne of Playa Del Rey, CA; a niece, Sadie Bowman of Oregon; and
nephews, Zane Bowman of Florida, and Wyatt Bowman of Oregon.
Services will be announced at a later date at the Oliver-Floyd Funeral
Home, 1000 N. Broadway St., Greenville, OH 45331. Burial will take
place in the St. Mary's Cemetery in Greenville.
The family requests in lieu of flowers that memorial contributions be
given to the Greenville Public Library, 520 Sycamore Street,
Greenville,, OH 45331
