James A. “Jim” Honeycutt

James A. “Jim” Honeycutt, age 61, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, December 12, 2013 at 5:35 PM at State of the Heart Hospice Care Center.  He was born on December 14, 1951 in Knox County, Kentucky, to Gerry (Gray) Honeycutt of Greenville and the late Thomas G. Honeycutt.

In addition to his mother he is survived by his sons, Tom Honeycutt of Winchester, Indiana, and Aaron Honeycutt of Portland, Indiana; 8 grandchildren; Dog, Peanut; brothers, Thomas Honeycutt of Marion, Indiana, Jerry Lynn Honeycutt of Hartford City, Indiana, and Buford Milles of Middletown, Ohio; sisters, Shirley White of Middletown, Ohio, Mary Alice Showman of Newark, Ohio, Arlene Garland of Greenville and Louise Alexander of Bradford; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Jim worked at Sheller Globe in Union City.

He is preceded in death by his father; wife, Phyllis Honeycutt; and grandmother, Mary Cooper.

There will be a private service held at the convenience of the family with Pastor Doug Klinsing officiating.  Burial will be in the Greenville Cemetery.  Arrangements are under the direction of Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio. 

It is the wishes of the family that memorial contributions be given to the Darke County Cancer Association or State of the Heart Hospice.
