Clyde J. Boone

Clyde J. Boone age 78, of Greenville, Ohio and formerly of New Paris, Ohio passed away at 2:07 P.M. on Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at his residence. Clyde was born February 25, 1935 in Rocky Mount, Virginia to the late John Dempsey & Alice Moetta (King) Boone.

Clyde is survived by his wife, Hazel (Coning) Boone whom he married December 25, 1954; son, Rodney “Rod” Boone of Richmond, Indiana; daughter & son-in-law, Renee & Michael Connell of New Paris, Ohio; grandchildren, Jeremy Boone, Jeff & Kandi Boone, Jennifer Boone & fiancé, Dustin Hecht, David & Lyndie Nilsen and Derek & Kari Ganger; step grandchildren, Charmain Vanlandingham and Travis Hurbert; great-grandchildren, Cierra Rosenski, Ethan Boone, Dylan Boone, Yoselin Nilsen, Claire Ganger and Emma Ganger; step great-grandchildren, Ardessa Vanlandingham, Bryce Vanlandingham and Arianna Hurbert; brothers & sisters-in-law, Robert & Betsy Boone of Casstown, Ohio, Claude & Carol Boone of New Lebanon, Ohio, Ralph & Mary Boone of Modesto, California, Buren & Karen Boone of Modesto, California; sister & brother-in-law, Pauline & Johnny Brooks of Rocky Mount, Virginia; and sisters-in-law, Gladys Sink of Boones Mill, Virginia, Geneva Boone of Rocky Mount, Virginia and Duaine Boone of Roanoke, Virginia.

In addition to his parents, Clyde is also preceded in death by a son, Joseph E. “Joe” Boone on November 21, 2005; daughter-in-law, Phyllis Boone; and 7 brothers and sisters.

Clyde retired after 22 years of service from New Paris Oil, where he was a transport driver. Clyde was a member of the Old German Baptist Brethren New Conference Church in West Manchester, Ohio.
 
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Sunday, July 14, 2013 at Prices Creek Old German Baptist Brethren Church State Route 726, Eldorado, Ohio. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 2:00 to 5:00 & 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home in Greenville.
