Christina Mikesell

Christina Mikesell, 95 of Lancaster, Ohio and formerly of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on Sunday May 5, 2013 at 11:05 AM at The Pickering House, Lancaster, Ohio.  She was born March 15, 1918 in Greenville, Ohio the daughter of the late Charles & Alma (Garland) Hepner.  She was a homemaker.
   
She was a member of Fort Jefferson Methodist Church, Fort Black Order of Eastern Star, she served as Deputy Grand Matron of Ohio; she volunteered at Wayne Hospital; she was a member of the Nifty Neave Homemakers Club, Alpha Delta Omega Sorority of Greenville; she was an avid card player and she graduated from Greenville High School in 1935.
   
She is preceded in death by her parents; Husband:  James A. Mikesell whom she married May 3, 1942; Son:  Thomas E. Mikesell; Brothers:  Andrew & Glen Hepner; Sisters:  Lourena Oldham & Abbie Corzact.
   
She is survived by her daughter:  Penny Spencer & Harry Risch of Lancaster, Ohio; Grandchildren:  Cliff & Angie Campbell, Todd & Amy Foley, Tracy & Lisa Mikesell; Great Grandchildren:  Cameron & Ian, Andrew & Adam, Conor & Brent; Niece:  Jean Miller of Greenville.
   
Services will be held on Friday May 10, 2013 at 10:30 AM at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home Greenville, Ohio with Rev. John McRoberts officiating.  Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, Fort Jefferson, Ohio.  Family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday May 9, 2013 at the funeral home.  An Eastern Star Memorial Service will be conducted by the Fort Black Order of Eastern Star at 7:45 PM Thursday at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made to Pickering House Hospice 1111 East Main Street, Lancaster, Ohio 43130.
