Dave E. Blocher

Dave E. Blocher, age 69, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at 4:29 PM at State of the Heart Hospice Care Center in Greenville, Ohio.  He was born on February 7, 1944 in Union City, Indiana, to Melva (Benson) Schwaberow of Greenville, Ohio, and the late Samuel Blocher.
   
In addition to his mother he is survived by his son and daughter in law, Doug & Jennifer Blocher of Greenville; daughter and son in law, Angela & Robert Hart of Greenville; grandchildren, Jacob Blocher, Jalynn Blocher, Levi Wicker, Dylan Wicker, Jordan Wicker, Brandon Gigandet, Krisney Gwin and Katie Hart; great grandchildren, Zane Wicker, Riley Wicker, Kasen Wicker and Hunter Gigandet; friend Carolyn Blocher of Greenville; brother and sister in law Michael & Brenda Blocher of Hollansburg; niece and nephews, Scott Blocher, Ryan Blocher and Amy Posey.
   
Dave retired from Miami Valley International Trucks and was one of the founders of the Darke County Tractor Puller Association and a member of the Plowmen’s Association.
   
There will be a service held on Monday, October 14, 2013 at 10:30 AM at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio, with Pastor Dennis Riffell officiating.  Burial will follow in the Greenville Cemetery.  Family will receive friends on Sunday, October 13, 2013 from 4-8 PM as well as one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
