Olive M. Haynes

Olive M. Haynes, 96, of Union City, Ohio, formally of Lightsville, Ohio, passed away September 29, 2013 at Wayne Healthcare in Greenville, Ohio.

She was born on January 10, 1917 in Lightsville, Ohio, daughter of the late William A. and Nellie G. (Brewer) Rhodeheffer. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Adam Rufus Haynes; a brother, Wilber “Bud” Rodeheffer; and a sister, Betty N. Koontz.

Olive was a homemaker, a past member of the Eastern Stars in Ansonia, and Progressive Homemakers Club. She attended Community United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her son, Bill R. (Mary Ellen) Haynes of Lebanon, Ohio: grandchildren, Rachel L. (Mike) Kafsky of Charlotte, NC and Josh A. (Sara) Haynes of Eaton, Ohio; great grandchildren, Gibson and Landis Kafsky, Maddie, Rylie and Emily Haynes; brothers, Harold R. “Jake” and Don M. “Ike” Rodeheffer of Lightsville, Ohio.

Memorial services will be held at 3PM, Sunday, October 20, 2013 at the Oliver-Floyd Funeral Home in Greenville, Ohio. The family requests that memorial contributions be given to State of the Heart Hospice.
