Audrey M. Grieshop McEldowney

Audrey M. Grieshop McEldowney age 91, of the Gardens in St. Henry and formerly of Rossburg, Ohio passed away at 10:26 P.M. on Thursday, October 3, 2013 at Mercer County Community Hospital in Coldwater. Audrey was born February 10, 1922 in Darke County, Ohio to the late Leroy C. Mangen & Bernadine R. (Cordonnier) Woydziak.
   
Audrey is survived by her sons & daughter-in-law, Thomas & Olene Grieshop of Mendon, Ohio and Edward Grieshop of Osgood, Ohio; daughters & son-in-law, Marilyn Fiely of St. Henry, Ohio and Carol & Thomas Hemmelgarn of Maria Stein, Ohio; daughter-in-law, Susan Grieshop Mescher of Sidney, Ohio; step sons & step daughters-in-law, Vernon & Sue McEldowney of Huber Heights, Ohio, Edward & Connie McEldowney of Rossburg, Ohio, Lester McEldowney of Farmland, Indiana and Charles & Rosalie McEldowney of Rossburg, Ohio; step daughters & step son-in-law, Jean Eastridge of New Weston, Ohio and Patricia & Rodney Bothast of East Peoria, Illinois; step daughter-in-law, Rita McEldowney of Ft. Recovery, Ohio; step son-in-law, Terry Coby of Portland, Indiana; 15 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren; brother & sister-in-law, John & Dorothy Mangen of Versailles, Ohio; sisters, Terry Zumberger of Maplewood, Ohio, Juanita Hake of Eaton, Ohio and Sr. Maureen Mangen of Indianapolis, Indiana; and numerous nieces and nephews.
   
In addition to her parents, Audrey is also preceded in death by her 1st husband, Leo Grieshop on January 12, 1964 whom she married May 4, 1946; 2nd husband, Arthur J. McEldowney on February 14, 1991 whom she married August 2, 1969; son, William Grieshop; son-in-law, Arthur Fiely; step son, Mark McEldowney; step daughters, Mary Lou Wagner and Carol Coby; step sons-in-law, Daniel Eastridge and Warner Wagner; grandson, Jim Fiely; great grandchild, Riley Knapke; and brothers, George & Donald Mangen.
   
Audrey was a homemaker and worked at Crown Equipment in New Bremen for 27 years. Audrey was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Frenchtown and St. Ann Sodality of the church. Audrey loved gardening, crocheting and reading.
   
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, October 7, 2013 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Frenchtown with Rev. Fr. Jim Simons celebrant. Burial will follow in Precious Blood Catholic Cemetery in Chickasaw. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2:00 to 6:00 P.M. and Monday from 12:00 to 1:00 P.M. at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home in Greenville.
