Billy "Bill" L. Garbig
Billy “Bill” L. Garbig, 80, of Greenville, passed away on August 31,
2013 at his residence. He was born on August 5, 1933 in Darke
County, Ohio to the late Bion and Marie (Clark) Garbig.
Bill was a machinist and business owner. He owned Garbig’s Machine Shop
for over 20 years. Bill loved flying his plane, go carts, cars,
fishing, boats, trap shooting, hunting and spending time with his
family.
Bill is survived by his wife of 55 years, Koneta (Fremd) Garbig; a son,
Douglas Garbig of Greenville; a daughter, Darcell and Tim Burns of
Greenville; grandchildren, Ryan, Meghan, Evan and Lauren Burns;
siblings, Dennis and Sherry Garbig of Greenville and Jill and Larry
Lucy of Detour, Michigan; a brother-in-law, William “Bill” Fremd;
nieces and nephews, Mark and Heather Garbig of Arcanum, Danielle and
Eric Moore of Arcanum, Chris Lucy of Detour, Michigan, Kenny Lucy of
Troy, Ohio, Scott Lucy of Detour, Michigan and many great nieces,
nephews and friends.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
