Larry J. Bey

Larry J. Bey, age 67 of Greenville, Ohio passed away on Tuesday April 22, 2014 at 11:10 AM at State of the Heart Hospice Care Center, Greenville, Ohio.  He was born October 8, 1946 in Darke County, Ohio the son of the late Francis X. & Marjorie A. (Berger) Bey.  He retired from Daimler Chrylser in Dayton on January 31, 1997 after 30 years.  He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Greenville Elks Lodge; Greenville Eagles; American Legion Post #140; Greenville Moose Lodge; he loved to hunt, bowl, golf, and play cards.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife:  Barbara F. (Lutz) Bey of Greenville whom he married July 17, 1965; children & spouses:  Melissa Werling of Greenville, David & Anna Bey of Centerville, Ohio, Kimberly & David Schaefer of Huber Heights, Ohio, Lyndsey Bey of Greenville; grandchildren:  Samantha Werling, Alicia Smith, Courtney Schaefer, Annika Bey, Lauren Bey, Christopher Schaefer, Nicholas Schaefer, & Tristan Bey-Russell; great grandchildren:  Sofia Smith, & Alexander Smith; brothers & sister in law:  Edward & Barbara Bey of Hillsboro, Ohio, Victor Bey of Greenville; sister & brother in law:  Christine & Duane Detrick; & numerous nieces & nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday April 29, 2014 at 10:30 AM at St. Mary’s Catholic Church 233 West Third Street, Greenville, Ohio with Rev. Fr. John White Celebrant.  Burial will follow in Greenville Township Memorial Gardens.  Family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday April 28, 2014 and from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM on Tuesday at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home.   A Moose Lodge of Sorrow will be held on Monday at 7:45 PM and a Rosary Service will be held at 8:00 PM on Monday at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made to the CJD Foundation 341 W. 38th Street, Suite 501, New York, NY  10018 or a State of the Heart Hospice.
