Marcella M. Moorman

Marcella M. Moorman, age 88, of Overland Park, Kansas, and formerly of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, January 5, 2014 at 1:01 PM at Shawnee Mission Medical Center in Merriam, Kansas.  She was born on June 27, 1925 in Riviera, Texas, to the late Joe C. & Alvina M. (Underbrink) Ott.

She is survived by daughters and sons in law, Pamela & Terry Fero of Lauderhill, Florida, and Marilyn & James Murray of Overland Park, Kansas; daughter in law, Teresa Moorman of New Madison, Ohio; grandchildren, Miranda Moorman, Keith Moorman, Sara Moorman, 1LT Sheneckia (Robert) Phipps, Keenan Fero, Warren Fero, Monika Fero, Quentin Fero, Vanessa Murray, Natalie Murray, and Ryan Murray; 7 great grandchildren; brother and sister in law, Richard & Sue Ott of Rancho Murieta, California; sister and brother in law, Norma & Ed Stevens of Evansville, Indiana; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Kenneth A. Moorman whom she married on July 11, 1959; son, Jeffrey B. Moorman; brothers, Robert and Donald Ott; sisters, Mary Jo Ott and Gladys Rybicki.

Marcella retired from Fram as an Administrative Assistant. and was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church for many years and also a member of the Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Olathe, Kansas; she was involved in the Rosary Altar Society in Greenville and loved playing bridge and bingo.

There will be a Memorial Mass on Friday, January 10, 2014 at 11:00 AM at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 233 West 3rd Street, Greenville, Ohio, with Rev. Fr. John R. White celebrant.  Burial will follow in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Greenville, Ohio.  Family will receive friends on Thursday, January 9, 2014 from 5-7 PM at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio.
