Craig A. Allread
Craig A. Allread, 66, of Greenville, passed away with his family by his
side, Thursday evening, March 20, 2014 at the State of the Heart
Hospice Care Center in Greenville.
He was born May 29, 1947 in Piqua, son of the late Howard and Jayne
(Smith) Allread.
Craig retired from CSX Railroad in 2008 after 32 years of service. A
veteran, he was a member of the Moose, Eagles and American Legion
He is survived by his wife, Monya M. Allread; 3 children, Kim (Chris)
Kermeen, Mindy (Derek) Saylor, and David Allread of Greenville; step
children, Susan (Steve) Kreitzer, Amanda (James) Tinkham, and Wanda
(Matt) Harter; 4 grandchildren, Krysten (Casey) Wilson, Alexis, Meghan
and Adam Kermeen; 11 step grandchildren; sister, Becky
(Ken) Moore; 3 brothers, Doug (Nit), Terry (Dana), and Larry Allread;
and several nieces and nephews.
Services with full military honors by the Greenville Veterans Honor
Guard will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, March 25, at the Oliver-Floyd
Funeral Home in Greenville. Burial will follow in Greenville Township
Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 11:30
a.m. to 1 p.m.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers that memorial contributions
be given to State of the Heart Hospice.
