William "Bill" Hoop

William “Bill” Hoop, age 66 of Greenville, Ohio passed away on Sunday March 2, 2014 at 10:45 PM at State of the Heart Hospice Care Center.  He was born November 2, 1947 in Buckeye, Arizona the son of Mildred (Roberts) Hoop and the late William G. Hoop.
   
He served in the United States Navy from 1965 to 1969 on the U.S.S. McCaffery during the Vietnam War.  He was a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church, Greenville V.F.W., American Legion Post 140.
   
He is preceded in death by his father; brothers:  David Hoop, Timothy Hoop.
   
He is survived by his mother; his wife:  Carol (Sander) Hoop; children & spouses:  Kim (Hoop) & Preston Fugett, Doug & Cyndi Hoop; grandchildren:  Cole Hoop & Fiancé Megan Subler, Clay Hoop, Elise Fugett, & Tyler Fugett; brother & sister in law:  Rod & Pam Hoop; sisters & brothers in law:  Christine & Dave Jackson, Lisa & Dave Mallory; sister in law:  Jill Hoop; & numerous nieces & nephews.
   
A gathering will be held on Friday March 7, 2014 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM followed by a Celebration of Life service at 5:00 PM at St. John Lutheran Church 7418 State Route 121, Greenville, Ohio with Pastor Patti Morelock officiating.  Burial will take place at a later date with Veterans services provided by the Greenville Veterans Honor Guard in St. John Church Cemetery.  Arrangements are being handled by Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio.  In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to State of the Heart Hospice 1350 North Broadway Greenville, Ohio 45331.
