Ellie “Tootsie” (Smith) Keaser

Ellie “Tootsie” (Smith) Keaser, 50, of Greenville, passed away Wednesday morning, November 26, 2014 at State of the Heart Hospice Care Unit in Greenville.
 
She was born November 26, 1964 in Chicago, IL, a daughter of Sam and Ella (Profitt) Smith.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Jeffrey T. “Jeff” Keaser who passed away October 31, 2014.
 
Ellie had worked in several doctor’s offices as a receptionist, and was a caregiver to numerous family members and friend’s children.  She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She gave love to all that she came in contact with.
 
She is survived by her parents, Sam and Ella Smith; children, Shawn Zerkle, Elizabeth Zerkle and Molly (Joe) Hool; granddaughter, Ashling Hool; brothers and sisters, Tina Harbison, Sam (Emily) Smith, Jr., and Kelly Smith; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Charles E. and Marie C. Keaser; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Terry (Marge) Keaser, Susan (Mike) Treadway, Darlene (Greg) Grubb, and Allen (Nancy) Keaser; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
 
Services will be held 10:30 AM, Thursday, December 4 at Greenville Grace Brethren Church, 4805 St. Rt. 49 S, Greenville with Pastor Danny Wright officiating.  Burial will follow in the Greenville Township Memorial Gardens.
 
The family will receive friends at the church, Wednesday, December 3, from 5 to 7 PM.  In the lieu of flowers memorial contributions be given to the Cancer Association of Darke County, P.O. Box 781, Greenville, Ohio 45331.
