Barbara Colleen Brickler

Barbara Colleen Brickler, age 80, of Gettysburg, Ohio, passed away on Monday, October 6, 2014 at 1:05 AM at the Brethren Retirement Community, Greenville, Ohio.  She was born on July 29, 1934 in Darke County, Ohio, to the late Ralph & Maude (McKinney) Hubler.

She is survived by her children, Roxanne B. & Larry Hill of Cordova, Tennessee, William R. & Velma Brickler Jr. of Gettysburg, Sherry L. & Donald Mong of East Greenwich, Rhode Island and Johnnie L. & Carrie Simons of Greenville; grandchildren, Erin N. Telford, Kye W. Lamn, Derrick J. Mong, Ryan T. Simons, Amber Seibel, Tasha Seibel and Ashley Seibel; 17 great-grandchildren; siblings, Jim Hubler of TN, Carol Brown of AR, Joan Parks of TX and Norma Gettinger of IN; numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, William R. “Bill” Brickler Sr. and siblings, Murle Hubler, Frank Hubler, Bobby Hubler, Don Hubler, Evelyn Plank, Dorothy Ray and Evelyn Frey.

Barbara was retired from Corning after 30 years of service and then worked at Neff Lettering in Greenville.  She loved bowling, knitting, crocheting and quilting.  She was a member of the Moose Lodge and some Corning Retirement Groups.

There will be a service held on Saturday, October 18, 2014 at 2:30 PM at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio, with Pastor Terry Haworth officiating.  Burial will follow in the Stelvideo Cemetery, Stelvideo, Ohio.  Family will receive friends on Saturday, October 18, 2014 from 12:30-2:30 PM at the funeral home.
