Barbara E. Spahr
Barbara E. Spahr, 78, of Greenville, Ohio passed away Tuesday March 31,
2015 at Brethren Retirement Community, Greenville, Ohio.
She was born March 25, 1937 in Troy, Ohio, a daughter of the late John
and Helen (Shank) Emig. In addition to her parents, she was
preceded in death by her husband, Charles Richard "Dick" Spahr on
October 8, 2007; a brother and a sister.
Barbara was retired from Fram and a member of St. Mary's Catholic
Church in Greenville. She had lived at St. Charles Seminary
for the past two years.
She is survived by her sons, Dean (Ann) Spahr of Indianapolis, IN; Joe
Spahr of North Carolina; and Gary (Nan) Spahr of Greenville;
grandchildren, Alison, Elizabeth, Jacob, Jerry and Justin; and 3 great
grandchildren.
Services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, April 4, at the
Oliver-Floyd Funeral Home in Greenville. Burial will follow in the
Greenville Township Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 5-7
p.m. The family requests that memorial contributions be given to the
State of the Heart Hospice.
