Charles Jerry DePoy
Charles Jerry DePoy, 76, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away Tuesday,
December 8, 2015 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Dayton.
He was born January 2, 1939 in Palestine, OH, son of the late Russell
E. and Margaret V. (Paul) DePoy. In addition to his parents he
was preceded in death by his wife, Janet A. (Crawford) DePoy on
February 16, 2002.
Jerry had owned and operated the former Jerry’s Cleaning Service. He
was a member of Oakland Church of the Brethren, Preble County Ohio
Horseman's Council, Darke County Fish and Game Club, and Moose Lodge in
Greenville.
He is survived by children, Jerry (Tina) DePoy, Tamara (Chris) Landis,
Mark DePoy; grandchildren, Jerrod (Sarah), Jeremy (Allie) and Jordan
DePoy, Christopher (Jessica), Samantha and Callie Landis, Justin and
Angelia DePoy; 9 great grandchildren; a sister, Marilyn Hittle; and his
longtime companion, Connie Sinclair.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, December 19 at
the Palestine Cemetery with Pastor Gary Oser officiating.
There will be no public visitation. In lieu of flowers please
send donations in Jerry's name to: Preble County OHC, 7629 Hogpath Rd,
Greenville, Ohio. Services have been entrusted to Oliver-Floyd Funeral
Home in Greenville.
