Marvin H. Cost

Marvin H. Cost, age 70, of Ansonia, Ohio passed away at 2:09 A. M. on Saturday, February 21, 2015 in the Dayton VA Center Dayton, Ohio.  Marvin was born December 25, 1944 in Piqua, Ohio and the son of the late Richard Alfred and Waunetta Mae (Cavender) Cost.

Marvin formerly was employed at Moody’s Auto Service Station in Ansonia and prior to that had driven truck for Saia Trucking Company in Sidney, Ohio.

He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, first serving in the US Army then an additional tour of duty with the US Navy. He was a very active member with the Eagles Lodge District 15 of Fairborn, Ohio serving in the capacity of President, Treasurer and Secretary.  He was also a member of the Northside Community Fellowship Church of Greenville.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers Rodney and William Cost.

Marvin is survived by his children Tracie Y. (Rick) Hull of Ansonia, Luke E. (Angie) Cost of Springfield, ILL. and Christina L. Cost of Greenville; grandchildren Travis D. Hull, Sabrina M. Hull, Brandi Foley and Jaimes Foley; brothers Richard (Marsha) Cost of Sidney, Eldon (Julie) Cost, Sidney and Clifford (his partner Gina) Cost of Ft. Loramie; sisters Dorothy (Dave) Lowe of Washington Court House and Freida “Peggy” (Robert) Millitt of Covington, Ohio as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, February 26, 2015 at the Zechar Bailey Funeral Home Greenville, Ohio with Pastor Randy Brown officiating.  Burial will follow in the Greenville Township Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends on Thursday from 9:00 to 11:00 A.M. at funeral home.  Full Military Honors will be conducted by the Greenville Veterans Honor Guard.

It is the wishes of the family that Memorial Contributions be given to Northside Community Fellowship Church of Greenville.
