O. Dale Cox

O. Dale Cox, age 82, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on January 12, 2015 at 1:03 PM in Darke County, Ohio.  He was born on June 20, 1932 in Darke County, Ohio, to the late Charles Luther & Virginia Annette (Holmes) Cox.
   
He is survived by his wife of 60 years Phyllis Marie (Schilling) Cox of Greenville; sons and daughters in law, Allen & Linda Cox of Greenville, Tim & Lisa Cox of North Carolina and Chris & Cheryl Cox of Laura, Ohio; daughter and son in law, Debbie & Greg Bourne of Ansonia; grandchildren, Jenelle (Bret) Good, Malorie Cox, Amanda Cox, Nicolas Cox, Nathan Cox, Naomi Cox, Tabitha (Ryan) Francis and Joel (Danielle) Bourne; 3 great grandchildren; sister, Barbara Tester of Coletown; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
   
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a brother, Richard Cox.
   
He was a member of the Coletown Congregational Christian Church where he served as a trustee for many years.  He was a 1950 graduate of Greenville High School.  He worked as a farmer, a milk truck driver and served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.
   
There will be a service held on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at 10:00 AM at Coletown Congregational Christian Church, 2876 St. Rt. 571 West, Greenville, Ohio, with Pastor Eric Knight officiating.  Burial will follow in the Greenville Township Memorial Gardens, Greenville.  Family will receive friends on Friday, January 16, 2015 from 5-8 PM at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville.  There will be a Graveside Military Service conducted by the Greenville Veterans Honor Guard.
   
It is the wishes of the family that memorial contributions be given to the Coletown Congregational Christian Church.
