Sara M. Lease
Sara M. Lease age 82, of Greenville passed away at 1:00 A.M. on
Saturday, January 3, 2015 at Rest Haven Nursing Home in Greenville.
Sara was born December 27, 1932 in Darke County to the late Waldo &
Edna (Cook) Hawes.
Sara is survived by her children, Nancy A. Livingston of New Weston,
Ronald E. & Crisann Lease of Greenville, Timothy J. Lease of
Greenville and Teresa L. & David Jackson of Dayton; 4
grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Charles Hawes of
Greenville.
In addition to her parents, Sara was also preceded in death by her
husband, Francis E. “Frank” Lease whom she married April 19, 1952;
son-in-law, Dennis Livingston; a great-grandchild; 6 brothers; and a
sister.
Sara was a homemaker, former cook at Sater Lanes in Greenville, and ran
a vegetable stand along with her late husband at the corner of Plum and
Morrow Street from 1959-1993. Sara was an active member of Grace
Brethren Church in Greenville. She was also a member of the Greenville
Eagles Ladies Auxiliary, Greenville V.F.W. and American Legion Ladies
Auxiliary.
A funeral service will be held at 3:30 P.M. on Saturday, January 10,
2015 at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home in Greenville with Pastor Danny
Wright officiating. Burial will follow in Greenville Cemetery. The
family will receive friends on Saturday from 2:00 to 3:30 P.M. at the
funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to State of the Heart
