Ruth Lucille Sponaugle
Ruth Lucille Sponaugle age 87, of Bradford, Ohio passed away at 4:05
A.M. on Friday, January 30, 2015 at the Covington Care Center. Ruth was
born July 9, 1927 in Miami County, Ohio to the late Chester & Iva
(Divens) Ross.
Ruth is survived by her children, Jeannie & Cliff York of
Greenville, Samuel A. & Julie Sponaugle of Bradford, Steve &
Karen Sponaugle of Bradford and Mary Lou Ball of Troy; numerous
grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and a
sister & brother-in-law, Vesta & Tony Bundy of Covington.
In addition to her parents, Ruth was also preceded in death by her
husband, Samuel Roscoe Sponaugle; brother, Carl Ross; and sister,
Pauline Crown.
Ruth was a farm wife; she helped her husband milk cows. She had also
worked for 20 years at Neff Lettering in Greenville. She was a member
of the Freedom Life Church in Winchester, Indiana.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Tuesday, February 3,
2015 at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home in Greenville with Pastor Jeff
Bullard. Burial will follow in Abbottsville Cemetery in Darke County.
The family will receive friends on Monday from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the
funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to State of the Heart
