Wilma Joyce (Welch) Peters

Wilma Joyce (Welch) Peters, 82, of Hollansburg, Ohio, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, March 24, 2015 at Heartland of Greenville.  Wilma was born on October 31, 1932 to the late William and Della (Jackson) Welch.
 
Wilma was a self employed writer for several newspapers.  She was a member and very involved in the Friendship Community Church, Christian Education, 5 Day Clubs, Salvation Army, Bible study fellowship, mom's in touch, bible studies, YMCA latch key program and an avid bible student. She loved children, helping with the mentally handicap and also collected clothes in her garage for the needy. She cherished her family most of all.
 
In addition to her parents, Wilma is preceded in death by her husband, George Peters who passed on July 15, 1995 and brother, John P. Welch; sister, Katie Fulton and grand daughter, Angela Nicole.
 
Wilma is survived by her sons and daughter, Mike and Ruth Peters of Trotwood, Vernon and Patricia of New Madison, Stephen of Hollansburg and Pamela and David McCoy of Nashville, IN; grandchildren, Diane, Erin, Eddie, Samuel, Jason, Bobby, Jeremy, Jessica, Shannon, Rachel, Sarah and Rebekah and 13 great grandchildren
 
A celebration of life service will be held on  Monday, March 30, 2015 at 2 PM, at Braund Pope Funeral Home with Rev. Dennis Riffle officiating. Family and friends may visit from 12PM to 2 PM also at the funeral home.  Family requests memorial contributions be given to the Ohio league of Mentally retarded or Friendship Church.
