Douglas R. Baker

Douglas R. Baker, 72, of Greenville, passed away Wednesday evening, November 4, 2015, at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton.

He was born November 3, 1943 in Greenville, the son of the late Robert G. and Leora Irene (Riggleman) Baker.

An avid golfer, Doug had worked at Dayton Tire and Rubber for 17 years, and retired from Corning in Greenville. He had attended the Greenville Missionary Church.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Judith M. (Pearson) Baker, whom he married May 11, 1963; a daughter, Cheryl (Jeff) Gibson of Alexandria, VA; a son, Scott (Sherry) Baker of Arcanum; grandchildren, Katie Johnston, Amanda Baker, Justin Baker, Jeff Gibson, and Kristen Gibson; and a sister, Rhonda Baker of Phoenix, AZ.

Services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, November 7, at the Greenville Missionary Church with Pastor Gary Oser officiating. Burial will follow in the Abbottsville Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the church Saturday from 9:30 till time of services at 11 a.m.

Services have been entrusted with the Oliver-Floyd Funeral Home in Greenville.
