Lula Lee (Harris) Boomershine

Lula Lee (Harris) Boomershine, 64, of Lynn, Indiana passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on February 16, 2016 at her residence surrounded by her family. Lula was born in Hazard, Kentucky on November 21,1951 to the late Tommy and Rebecca(Wells)Harris.
 
Lula enjoyed painting, gardening and spending time with her grandchildren.
 
In addition to her parents, Lulu is preceded in death her husband, Clyde "Buddy" Boomershine in 2013, grandson, Tyler Mangas, brothers, Larry and Depton Harris, sisters, Shirley Burk as well as an infant sister, and niece, Jessica Legear.
 
Lula is survived by her daughters, Emily and Scott Hutchings of Richmond, LeAnne and Dean Stiver of New Paris, Ohio, Diane and Roy Mangas of Union City, Indiana, Judy Boomershine of Winchester, Indiana, Pam Yount and Tim Hunt of Union City, Indiana, Sharon and Jeremy Eyer of Lynn, Indiana, Lula "Shelly" and Mike Palmer of Greenville, Ohio and Liz Boomershine  and Jeff Journay of Union City, Indiana; thirty five grandchildren, Justin, Ariel, David, Summer, Jason, Chris, Cody, Beth, Chris, Alex, Anthony, Sarah, Jordon, Katie, Tyler, Tanner, Abby, Sophia, Micheal, Ryan, Cory, Tommy, Mickinzie,  Brookie, Brian, Josh, Joey, Jenna, Jakob, Jonathan, Ian, Charlie, Bobby, Vincent Clyde Edward and Brandon, 13 great grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Sue Harris; two sisters and brother-in-law, Naomi and Tony Hawley of Winchester, IN and Sharon Baldwin of New York and numerous nieces and nephews.
 
A Celebration of Life service will be held at Braund Pope Funeral Home on Saturday, February 20, 2015 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Brody Rike being asked to officiate. Friends may visit prior to the service from 9-11 AM also at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Spartanburg Cemetery.

The family requests memorial contributions be given to the Oncology Department at Reid Hospital in Richmond, IN. Arrangements are entrusted to Braund Pope Funeral Home in New Madison.
