Jayallen Hale

Jayallen Hale, age 74, of Greenville, OH, passed away, Saturday, May 28, 2016 at  the State of the Heart Hospice Care Center.
 
He was born Sunday, February 15, 1942 in Troy, OH, a son of the late David and Margaret (Coppock) Hale.
 
In addition to his parents, Jayallen was preceded in death by his previous wife of 38 years, Sondra (Sutton) Hale; his son, Jason Hale, and an infant brother, Eugene Hale.
 
Jayallen had a curiosity toward all things and loved to figure out how things worked. He was a tinkerer and loved to work with his hands.
 
Jayallen is survived by his Wife, Ann Schlamb Hale, whom he married August 11, 2013; daughter, Shelley (Rick) Bohn of Greenville, OH; sons, Rodd (Brenda) Hale of Versailles, OH; and Anthony (Paula) Hale of Guyton, GA; daughters, Renee Hale of Greenville, OH, and Tammy Hale of Versailles, OH; and son, Matthew (Beth) Hale of Greenville, OH. He was also survived by five step-children, Steven (LeAnn) Schlamb of Monroe, OH, Catherine (Doug) Bertram of Arcanum, OH, Michael (Melissa) Schlamb of Greenville, OH, Chris (Tammy) Schlamb of Greenville, OH and Karla (Marc) Dieringer of Versailles, OH; and a sister, Linda (Bill) Alvey of Madison, OH; 28 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren with 2 on the way; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
 
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, June 2, 2016 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, in Greenville, with Fr. White officiating. Burial will follow in Greenmound Cemetery in New Madison, OH.
 
Family and friends may visit Wednesday, June 1, 2016 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Oliver-Floyd Funeral Home in Greenville, and again Thursday morning from 9:00 - 10:00 AM at the funeral home. The Greenville Moose will conduct a Lodge of Sorrows Wednesday at 6:45 PM.
