Warren S. Davis
Warren S. Davis, 76 of Versailles, Ohio passed away on Tuesday October
25, 2016 at 4:40 AM at the Versailles Health Care Center, Versailles,
Ohio. He was born June 20, 1940 in Pineville, Kentucky the son of
the late Fred & Kitty (Warren) Davis. He was a school teacher
at Versailles Schools and was the owner/operator of Col. Warren S.
Davis Trucking.
He was a member of the Gettysburg Masonic Lodge; and the N.R.A.
He graduated from Eastern Kentucky University; Loved UK Basketball;
enjoyed playing checkers, pool and pinball; he was a loving father and
grandfather.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife: Phyllis (Strunk) Davis of Versailles
whom he married June 22, 1962; daughters: Kitty Davis of North
Star and Marla Lundergan of Richmond, Kentucky; grandchildren:
Kennedy Zumbrink of North Star and Hannigan Lundergan of Richmond,
Kentucky; siblings: Beulah Lykins, Freddy W. Davis, Murrell Lee
Davis, & Deidra Davis Evans.
A celebration of life service will be held on Friday October 28, 2016
at 11:00 AM at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home Greenville, Ohio with Pastor
Kim Katterheinrich and Pastor Nick Dimmick officiating. Family
will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday October 27,
2016 at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio. Masonic
services will be conducted by the Gettysburg Masonic Lodge at 7:45 PM
on Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial
contributions may be made to American Cancer Society.
