Barbara L. Niswonger
Barbara L. Niswonger, age 84, of Greenville passed away at 12:30 P.M.
on Wednesday, September 28, 2016, at her residence. Barbara was born
May 11, 1932 in Union City, Indiana, to the late George C. & Marna
Ruth (Bubmyer) Crawford.
Barbara is survived by her son & daughter-in-law, Kip & Karen
(Horn) Niswonger of Tampa, Florida; daughter, Kim Hopsecker of Troy;
grandchildren, Brian Hopsecker, Erika Whitmore Fields, Brittaney
Hopsecker, Trevor Hopsecker, Chase Niswonger and Paige Niswonger; 13
great-grandchildren; brother & sister-in-law, Phillip C. & Sue
Crawford of Winchester, Indiana; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Barbara was also preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth L. Niswonger
on September 13, 1999 whom she married June 22, 1952; 5sisters; and 1
brother.
Barbara worked for 30 years at the former Arcanum Hardware and Orme
Hardware in Arcanum. She also formerly worked at White-Westinghouse.
Barbara was a member of Palestine Church of Christ.
A funeral service will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Saturday, October 8,
2016, at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home in Greenville. Burial will follow
in Oak Grove Cemetery in Fort Jefferson. The family will receive
friends on Saturday from 1:00 to 3:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
