Morris
Catherine Probasco Morris, 87 of Versailles, Ohio passed away on
Wednesday September 28, 2016 at 4:46 PM at the State of the Heart
Hospice Care Center, Greenville, Ohio. She was born March 31,
1929 in Clinton County, Ohio the daughter of the late Robert & Myra
(Harvey) Probasco.
She earned a Bachelor of Education Degree from Wright State University
and taught at Gahanna Schools, Kings Schools, Ansonia Schools, &
Versailles Schools.
She was a member of the Versailles Christian Church where she played
the organ and sang in the choir; she also sang in the community choir;
was a member of Coterie Club; taught piano for several years; was a
Girl Scout Leader; served on the Library Board; was an avid golfer; and
loved to play cards especially bridge; She was a big Tigers fan.
She is preceded in death by her parents; and brothers: Harold
& Raymond Probasco.
She is survived by her husband Dr. Loyd Morris of Versailles whom she
married August 19, 1949; her children: Michael & Shelly
Morris of Hamilton, Ohio, Deborah (Morris) Newkirk of Mason, Ohio,
& Jennifer (Morris) & Kim Vieira of Hamilton, Ohio; 5
grandchildren; 3 step grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; 6 step
great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday October 6, 2016 at 2:00 PM
at Versailles Christian Church 105 West Ward Street, Versailles, Ohio
with Pastor Kim Katterheinrich and Pastor Nick Dimmick
officiating. Family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM
on Wednesday October 5, 2016 at Bailey Zechar Funeral Home, Versailles,
Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to the Versailles Food
Pantry
