Janey Christman

Janey Christman of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, September 11, 2016 at 11:00 PM at State of the Heart Hospice Care Center.  She was born in Union City, Indiana, to the late James & Maxine (Halley) Hatfield.
   
She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years John Christman of Greenville, Ohio; beloved son and daughter in law, John & Lisa Christman; grandson that was near and dear to her heart, Michael; sister and brother in law, Sue Ellen & Donald Reed of Parkers City, Indiana; brother and sister in law, Mike & Debbie Hatfield of Bradenton, Florida; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
   
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her sister, Connie Breedlove Howard of Muncie, Indiana, and adopted parents, Glenn & Gladys Kendall.
   
Janey was a Social Worker and Director of the Community Action Partnership for years.  She was a graduate of Mississinawa Valley High School and was a member of the Eastern Star.  Janey’s life was based around helping others and changing lives. 
   
There will be a memorial service held at the convenience of the family at a later date.  Arrangements are under the direction of Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio.

It is the wishes of the family that memorial contributions be given to the Knight Templar Eye Foundation, Children’s Shrine Hospital or Darke County Homeless Shelter.  Condolences for the family may be sent to www.zecharbailey.com
