Robert “Bob” Kaye Forney

Robert “Bob” Kaye Forney, 86, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on August 5, 2017 at the Village Green Health Campus in Greenville, Ohio.

Born in Greenville, Ohio on Aug. 18, 1930, to Walter and Juanita (Shields) Forney, Bob graduated from Greenville High School in 1948 before attending Miami University of Ohio. He worked at United Telephone for 27 years and served as the City of Greenville Tax Administrator for 17 years.

Bob was a long-term member of the Eagles, Elks, American Legion and Moose. He was a 32nd-degree Mason and Shriner. Bob also served in the United States Naval Reserve for eight years.

Bob is survived by his three sons Rocky of Sidney, Ohio, Scott of Brockton, MA  and Matthew (Lisa) of Dublin, Ohio:  two grandsons Austin and Dylan; and special friend of more than 35 years Joy Bowers of Greenville.  He was proceeded in death by his parents Walter and Juanita, and sister Phyllis.

The family will hold a visitation from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Thursday August 10, 2017 with the Greenville Masonic Lodge conducting a Masonic Memorial Service at 6:30 PM followed by a Scottish Rite Ring Degree Service.  Funeral service will be held on Friday, August 11, 2017 at 10:30 AM in the Zechar Bailey Funeral Home 1499 N. Broadway St.  Greenville, Ohio with Pastor Peter Menke officiating.  Burial will follow in the Greenville Cemetery.
