Elizabeth Varsanyi
Elizabeth Varsanyi, age 96 of Greenville, Ohio passed away at 6:35 PM
Tuesday July 4, 2017 at the Briarwood Village in Coldwater, Ohio.
Elizabeth was born August 30, 1920 in Hungary Europe and the daughter
of the late Agoston and Julianna (Forhecz) Dobesh.
She was a member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church of Greenville and
years ago cooked and kept house for the nuns of the church.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband
Nandor A. Varsanyi April 18, 1983. They were married March 4,
1942.
Elizabeth is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law Nandor I.
(Paula) Varsanyi of Celina and Fred (Anne) Varsanyi of Columbus; her
nephew who she raised Mihaly Polczer of Hoboken, Georgia;
grandchildren, Amy (Brent) Demoray, Michelle (Steve) Jones, Julie
Varsanyi, Michael (Meagan) Varsanyi, Alison Varsanyi, Nicholas (Missy)
Varsanyi, Pamela Shepherd, Laura Ahrens and Jennifer Lyons; 9 great
grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday July 8, 2017 in the
Zechar Bailey Funeral Home Greenville, Ohio with Rev. Father John R.
White officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenville Township
Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Saturday
from 10:00 AM until time of the services in the funeral home.
