Paul Dickey

Paul Dickey, 72, of Greenville, passed away Monday, July 17, 2017 at State of the Heart Care Center in Greenville.

Paul was born on March 22,1945 in Greenville, Ohio to the late Edgar and Verla (Brumbaugh) Dickey.

In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his brothers, Harold Dickey and Charles Dickey; and a grandson, Cody Favors.

Paul served his country honorably in the U. S. Marines where he served in Vietnam in communications. He graduated in 1963 from Mississinawa Valley High School. Paul worked for Corning for over 20 years.

Paul enjoyed taking daily walks, horse racing, Nascar racing and rooting for the Cincinnati Reds and the Cleveland Browns. He was a member of the American Legion, VFW, Moose Lodge and Eagles Lodge, all in Greenville.

Paul is survived by his wife of 25 years, Nina (Brumbaugh) Dickey of Greenville, his children, Shawn (April) Dickey of Osgood, and Gina (Dickey) Greene of Arcanum; his grandchildren, Michael Dickey, Sarah Greene, and Hannah Greene; his step son, Buddy Favors, Sr. of Mt. Summit, Indiana; his step grandchildren, Ian Favors, Coy Favors and Buddy Favors, Jr., Dalton Goubeaux; his brother, Ray (Carolyn) Dickey of Ansonia; his sister, Treva (Bob) Hamilton of Ansonia; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 12:00 PM on Friday, July 21, 2017 at Oliver Floyd Funeral Home in Greenville with Rev. Steve Short officiating. Burial will follow in Greenville Cemetery with full military services being conducted by the Greenville Veterans Honor Guard.

Family and friends may visit on Friday, July 21, 2017 from 10 AM until 12:00 PM at the funeral home.

Memorial Contributions may be given to State of the Heart Care, 1350 N. Broadway, Greenville, Ohio 45331, Greenville Moose Lodge, Sweitzer Street, Greenville, Ohio 45331, or the charity of your choice.
