Stella "Susie" I. Guthrie

Stella "Susie" I. Guthrie, 67, of Greenville, passed away, Monday, October 16, 2016 at her residence.

Susie was born July 16, 1950 in Piqua, Ohio, a daughter of Clarence Pitsenbarger of New Weston and the late Hazel Irene (North) Pitsenbarger, and her adoptive parents, the late Wilbur and Delores Shotz.

In addition to her parents, Susie was preceded in death by her brothers, Craig Pitsenbarger, David Shotz and Mark Shotz.

Susie was a 1969 graduate of Ansonia High School, and was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Greenville. She was previously employed by Corning Glass. In her free time, Susie enjoyed crocheting and Bingo.

Susie is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Tammy (Arthur Weitz) Summers of Ansonia and Paula (Michael) Quinn of Arcanum; her grandchildren, Jerry Mills, Travis (Marylin) Mills, Angelica Mills, Johnathon (Courtney) Quinn and Joshua Quinn; her great grandchildren, Leora Quinn, Rosie Quinn, Justin Bailey, Joey Bailey, Christian Mills, Olivia Shephard, and Matthew Latou; sisters and brothers-in-law, Pam (Paul) Weaver, Cindy (Chuck) Fitzgerald, and Jeannie (Ronnie) Markland all of Greenville, and Barb Lambert of Piqua; brother, Chuck Gorsline of Rapid City, IA; her companion, Greg Sleppy of Greenville; her adopted daughter, Falicia Oostra of Greenville; her aunt, Shirley Swabb of Greenville; her special cat, Snowball; and several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10: 30 AM on Friday, October 20, 2017 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Greenville, Ohio with Father John White officiating. Burial will follow in the Brock Cemetery.

Family and friends may visit on Thursday, October 19, 2017 from 5-7 PM at Oliver Floyd Funeral Home in Greenville. A prayer service will be held at 4:30 PM also at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Susie's family to help with her headstone expenses.
