Charles James Hinkle

Charles James Hinkle, 88 of Greenville, Ohio and formerly of Gettysburg, Ohio passed away on Wednesday August 29, 2018 at 5:15 AM at Rest Haven Nursing Home, Greenville, Ohio.  He was born July 11, 1930 in Clark County, Ohio the son of the late Theron & Irene (Cook) Hinkle. 

He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War.  He work in the production division at Hobart.

He was a member of Pleasant View Missionary Church where he served the church faithfully.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his daughter:  Joyce Hinkle; his sisters:  Margaret Steele & Martha Jean Steele.

He is survived by his wife:  Grace Evangeline (Riffell) Hinkle of Greenville, Ohio; his sister:  Mary Riffell of Greenville and numerous nieces & nephews.

A service will be held on Sunday September 2, 2018 at 4:00 PM at Pleasant View Missionary Church, 5231 Gettysburg Pitsburg Road, Gettysburg, Ohio with Rev. Frank Beard officiating.  Burial will follow in Gettysburg Cemetery.  Family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM on Sunday at the church.  Veteran’s graveside services will be conducted by the Greenville Veterans Honor Guard.  Arrangements are being handled by Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio.  Memorial contributions may be made to State of the Heart Care or the Missionary Church Camp at Ludlow Falls.
