Arthur W. Curtis
Arthur W. Curtis, age 92, of Versailles passed away at 4:45 AM on
Sunday, February 11, 2018, at Versailles Health Care Center.
Arthur was born November 2, 1925, in Darke County to the late Glen
& Eva Elizabeth Curtis. In addition to his parents, Arthur was also
preceded in death by a son, Richard Curtis; son-in-law, Ken Draving;
brothers, Charles, Robert and Herbert Gene Curtis; and sisters, Treva
Klipstine, Opal Koon and Shirley Curtis.
Arthur is survived by his wife, Evelyn (Zacharias) Curtis whom he
married March 25, 1950; children, Dan & Linda Curtis of Greenville,
Linda Draving of Sidney and Gary & Susan Curtis of Greenville;
daughter-in-law, Sue Curtis of Greenville; 7 grandchildren and 13
great-grandchildren; brother & sister-in-law, Roger & Pat
Curtis; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Arthur served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was a farmer, retiree
from George H. Worch Lumber Company and a former employee of Yieldmor
Feeds. Arthur was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Versailles.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, February 14,
2018, at Bailey Zechar Funeral Home in Versailles. Burial will follow
in Greenlawn Cemetery in Versailles with full military honors conducted
by the Versailles Veteran’s Honor Guard. The family will receive
friends on Tuesday from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Memorial
contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church in Versailles.
