Nina Arlene (Evans) Fourman

Nina Arlene (Evans) Fourman, 89, of Greenville, Ohio, formerly of New Madison, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2019, at the Village Green Health Campus in Greenville.

She was born on October 24, 1929, in Lewis County, Kentucky to the late Rev. Carl C. and Cecil (Stamper) Evans.

In addition to her parents, Arlene was preceded in death by her husband, Dale L. Fourman, whom she married in June 1948; her daughter, Linda Grisby; her siblings, Douglas Evans, and Kenneth Evans.

Arlene was known as a fantastic cook and baker. People enjoyed her peppermint angle food cake, custard pies, and her cinnamon rolls. When she was not in the kitchen, you could find Arlene in her garden tending to her many vegetables. She also enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and playing cards with her family and friends. Arlene spent over 30 years working for Reid Hospital as a Surgical Transport Aid. She was a faithful follower of Christ and attended the Greenville Missionary Church for many years.

She is survived by her children, Sharon (Jim) Lawrence of New Madison, and Keith (Rose) Fourman of Greenville; her grandchildren, Lisa Lawrence Hummel of Arcanum, Ohio, Derrick (Stephanie) Lawrence of Griffin, Georgia, Troy (Lora) Lawrence of Alexandria, Virginia, Janie (Kirk) Deitling of Pitsburg, Ohio, Eric Engle of Greenville, Douglas (Shelly) Williams of Greenville, Liz Grigsby of Houston, Missouri, Shawna Layser of Pennsylvania, Veronica (John) Traupman of McKinney, Texas, Adam (Amy Sams) Grigsby of Battle Ground, Washington, and Nathan (Morgan) Grigsby of Leicester, North Carolina; her ten great-grandchildren; her nine great-great grandchildren; her siblings, Ardith Stevens of Hagerstown, Indiana, and Lowell Evans of Delaware, Ohio; and her numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

 A celebration of Arlene’s life will take place at 2:00 PM on Monday, April 29, 2019, at Tribute Funeral Homes, Greenville Campus with Pastor Gary Oser officiating. Burial will follow in Greenville Union Cemetery in Greenville.

Guests may visit with Arlene’s family on Monday from 12:00 PM until the time of the service at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Arlene to the Hospice of Miami Valley, 46 N. Detroit Street, Suite B, Xenia, Ohio 45385.
