Guy M. Monnin

Guy M. Monnin, 50 of Centerville passed away peacefully unto the Lord on Tuesday January 1, 2019 at his home.  He went to the Lord in his sleep and woke in the presence of God.

Guy was born in Versailles, Ohio, on September 17, 1968, the son of Wayne Monnin and Kim Smith. 

He is preceded in death by his brother Mathew Monnin.

Guy is survived by his parents; his sisters:  Christine Horner of Centerville, Ohio, & Rebel Shipes of Troy, Ohio; his step brother Larry Smith of Versailles, Ohio; his step mother:  Dana Monnin of Tipp City, Ohio.

Guy was a graduate of Versailles High School and CEO and president of Positive Electric in Dayton and Columbus, Ohio.  He loved the outdoors, fishing, camping and always had a smile on his face.  He loved the company of his friends and would be right there beside them if any of them ever needed help.  Guy practiced his faith in God on a daily basis there to help the homeless, feed the hungry, contribute to the animal shelters and was a friend to any one in need.

Guy will be missed by many here on earth and welcomed with open arms by all in heaven.  He truly did have a loving heart.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday January 19, 2019, at 1:30 PM at St. Remy Cemetery, Russia, Ohio with Rev. Fr. Martin Fox officiating.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Friday January 18, 2019 and from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM on Saturday January 19, 2019 at Bailey Zechar Funeral Home, Versailles, Ohio.  Memorial contributions may be made to Lets Help Jeff Strikeout Cancer gofundme page for Jeff Kennard.
