Marjorie Marybelle Jones

Marjorie Marybelle Jones, 82, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on Friday, June 21, 2019, at her residence surrounded by her family.

She was born on May 11, 1937, in Darke County, Ohio to the late Elmer and Lillie (Eley) Klopfer.

In addition to her parents, Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband, Roy "Spike" Jones; her great-granddaughters, Savannah and Willow Gower; and her siblings, Kenneth Klopfer and Joanne Waggoner.

Marjorie was devoted to her family and would go to the ends of the earth for them. She loved her grandchildren and enjoyed the time they spent together. She loved to read, cook, sew, and family gatherings. She was an animal lover and always had pets to give her affection to. She loved watching the Cleveland Cavaliers play. Marjorie graduated from Versailles High School, where she played clarinet in the marching band. After marrying Roy, they would travel the back roads on their motorcycle, eventually riding all the way to the Grande Canyon. They enjoyed the outdoors and camping in their camper.

Marjorie is survived by her children and their spouses, Karen and Steve Livingston of Union City, Ohio, and Mike and Joni Jones of Greenville, Ohio; her grandchildren and their spouses, Chrissy and Brad Strausbaugh of Versailles, Ohio, Kelley and Kenneth Gower of Union City, Ohio, Jonathan Jones of Greenville, and Paige Jones of Greenville; her great-grandchildren, Brooklyn Livingston, Levi Strausbaugh, and Caroline Gower; her siblings, George Klopfer of Beamsville, Ohio, and Florence Neargardner of Indianapolis, Indiana; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Marjorie's life will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, June 26, 2019, at Tribute Funeral Homes, Greenville Campus, with Pastor Melinda Gapen officiating. Burial will follow in Greenville Township Memorial Gardens.

Family and friends may visit on Wednesday, from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
