Marjorie Elaine Melling, age 76 of Greenville, Ohio passed away at
11:36 PM Sunday June 16, 2019 at the Brethren Retirement Community of
Greenville. Marjorie was born July 16, 1942 in Greenville, Ohio
and the daughter of the late Morris W. and Dorothy M. (Nowlin) Flatter.
She had been a Quality Control Inspector at the local Corning Glass
Plant until their closing and also the former owner of Flatter’s
Harley-Davidson Motorcycle Shop of Greenville.
Marjorie loved riding motorcycles, playing crossword puzzles, scrabble,
cards and Sudoku.
A loving mother and grandmother, she is survived by her children
Gregory “Madman” Melling, Gery (JoEllen) Melling, Morrisa (Robert) Reed
and Gina Melling all of Greenville; grandchildren Joshua (Ashley)
Melling, Kristina (Richard) Robinson, Jordan (Liz) Collins, Daniel
Collins, Elizabeth Reed and Shelby Perkins as well as 5 great
grandchildren.
Private Graveside Services will be held at the convenience of the
family in the Miller Cemetery 4764 Clark Station Road Greenville, Ohio
with Pastor Japheth Bear officiating. There will be no visitation.
It is the wishes of the family that Memorial Contributions be given to
Alzheimer’s Association.
