Norman Fredrick Bauer

Norman Fredrick Bauer, age 88 of Greenville, Ohio passed away at 7:30 PM Friday December 18, 2020 at his residence.  Norm was born November 15, 1932 in Elyria, Ohio and the son of the late Fred and Grace (Nyarges) Bauer.

He had been a dairy farmer for 25 years and later was self-employed representing I.B.A. selling dairy supplies to local dairy farmers followed by employment with CSS assisting with special needs adults.

Norm was an active member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church of Greenville, the Knights of Columbus, SERS and as a hobby loved woodworking.

Norm is survived by his wife Sue B. (Colahan) Bauer of Greenville.  They were married October 1, 1971.  Also children Christine Bauer  of Huron, Ohio, Laura Bauer of Milan, Ohio, Barbara Bauer of California and Eric (Peggy) Bauer of Norwalk, Ohio; step children Dana Moyer of Texas, Jill (Steve) Brewer of Troy, Patricia (Tim) Hruska of WI. and Kelly (David) Bakke of WI.; 8 grandchildren, 9 step grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and step great grandchildren, sister Carole Wilson of Bowling Green, Ohio as well as several nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM Tuesday December 22, 2020 in the St. Mary’s Catholic Church 233 West Third Street Greenville, Ohio with Rev. Father David Doseck as celebrant.  Burial will follow in the St. Mary’s Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Monday December 21, 2020 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM in the Zechar Bailey Funeral Home Greenville, Ohio.  The Knights of Columbus will be reciting the Rosary on Monday at 6:45 PM in the funeral home.

It is the wishes of the family that Memorial Contributions be given to the St. Mary’s School or the State of the Heart Care.
