Shirley A. DiRocco

Shirley A. DiRocco, age 90 of Greenville, Ohio passed away at 12:40 AM Monday December 14, 2020 at the State of the Heart Hospice Care Center in Greenville.  Shirley was born August 22, 1930 in Montgomery County Ohio and the daughter of the late Frank J. and Fay (Peffly) Stebbins.

She retired in 1990 as an elementary school teacher primarily teaching at the Woodland Heights building of the Greenville School System.  She had also spent time teaching in a few other county schools. Shirley was a very active member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church of Greenville, numerous educational associations such as the GEA, OEA, NEA and a former member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority.  In addition, she was a graduate of Wittenberg University.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband A.A. “Tony” DiRocco in 1983.  Also her brothers Norman Stebbins, Lowell Stebbins and Lee Stebbins.

Shirley is survived by her children Rev. Julianne (Stuart) Smith of Poland, Ohio, Tom DiRocco of Cincinnati and Loralee (Tim) Anderson of East Lake, Ohio; grandchildren Jessica Smith, Sarah (Josh) Dunbar, Brenna Anderson and Payton (Aubrey) Anderson; great grandchildren Brenna Dunbar and Annalia Anderson; brother Gary Stebbins of Ft. Wayne, Indiana as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM Friday December 18, 2020 at the St. Paul Lutheran Church 131 East Fourth Street Greenville, Ohio with Pastor Alan Knoke officiating. The Funeral Service will be Live Streamed on Zechar Bailey Funeral Home Facebook Page.  Burial will follow in the Greenville Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Thursday from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM in the Zechar Bailey Funeral Home Greenville, Ohio.
 
It is the wishes of the family that Memorial Contributions be given to the St. Paul Lutheran Church or State of the Heart Care, both in Greenville.
