Dawn Shafer

Dawn Shafer, also known as Shelly and Momma D, 53 of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on June 17, 2020, at her home from health-related complications.

She was born on March 26, 1967, in Greenville, to Marilyn (June) Miller of Greenville, and the late Jack Miller.

In addition to her father, Dawn was preceded in death by her brothers, Scott and Jeff Miller, and her brother-in-law Tony Hedger.

Dawn was a 1985 graduate of Greenville Senior High School. While in school, she enjoyed competing in track & field. She graduated from Sinclair Community College in 1988 and began her 32-year career as a Dental Hygienist. She loved going for walks with her dogs, caring for her gardens, and baking every chance she had. She spent many hours teaching her children how to bake and passing down her favorite recipes. She was a strong hard-working mother of three children.

In addition to her mother, Dawn is survived by her daughter, Jenna (Colten) Forte, sons Jack Rifenberg and Graham Shafer; grandson, Aiden Forte; her sisters, Sheryll Hedger and Lori Miller; her niece Sherry (Matt) Sharp; nephews, Jason Hedger, Adam (Holly) Miller, and Jacob Miller; great nieces, Jadyn and Loren Sharp; great nephew, Jarod Sharp; and her Cats, Kiki, Kimchi, Gamora, Tot, and Momma.

A Celebration of Dawn's Life will be held at 2:00PM on Monday, June 29, 2020, at Tribute Funeral Homes, Greenville Campus.

Her family will be receiving guest on Monday from 12 Noon until the time of the service at 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
