Denver “Denny” Anthony

Denver “Denny” Anthony, 73 of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on Monday February 1, 2021at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton, Ohio.  Denny was born in 1947 in Greenville, Ohio the son of Bob Anthony of Greenville and the late Dorothy (Kuhnle) Anthony.  He graduated from Greenville High School in 1965.  Denny married Diane McKibben of Arcanum on November 1, 1975.

He worked for Anthony Cycle Center for many years; then he worked for John Deere until he retired in 2008. He enjoyed his family and friends and he was loved and cherished and his family was blessed to have such a wonderful man in their lives.  His hobbies were tending to his yard and gardening, Nascar Racing, watching OSU games, search puzzles.  In his early years he raced professional motorcycles with AMA; he also officiated AMA motorcross races.

He is preceded in death by his mother: Dorothy; brothers:  Charlie and Steven (Pee Wee) Anthony; sister in law:  Helen Anthony; mother & father in law:  Lloyd & Alice McKibben; sister & brother in law:  Judy & Marvin Brodrick; brother in law:  Homer Brewer.

He is survived by his wife: Diane Anthony of Greenville; his father Bob Anthony; his daughters & sons in law:  Tammy & Bobby Salmon of Fayetteville, N.C., Barbara & Brent Fisher of Englewood, Ohio; 8 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; brother & sister in law:  Mike & Joanne Anthony; sister:  Susie Anthony; sisters in law:  Mary Brewer, & Barbara Anthony; and numerous nieces & nephews.

Services will be held on Friday February 5, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio with Pastor Sylvia McKibben officiating.  Burial will follow in Abbottsville Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Friday at the funeral home.  The family request that anyone who attends to please wear a mask.  Memorial contributions may be made to Cancer Association of Darke County, 1111 Sweitzer Street, Greenville, Ohio 45331.

Denny will be greatly missed by his family and friends and anyone who knew him.
