David C. Baerwald

David C. Baerwald, 56 of Greenville, Ohio passed away on Friday January 22, 2021 at 11:22 AM at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton, Ohio.  He was born July 11, 1964 in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, the son of Lorraine (Neitzel) Baerwald of Horicon, Wisconsin and the late Chuck Baerwald.  He worked as a Service Maintenance Technician at GTI in Greenville.  He served his country in the United States Army.

David was first and foremost devoted to his family and friends whether they were distant or close in relationship to him.  He was generous with his time and money which included a sassy sense of humor.  He sought to be supportive, and continuously looking for ways to help those around him.  He was a proud Green Bay Packer fan who spent years collecting memorabilia who had a signature voice message when you didn’t answer your phone.

He is preceded in death by his father; and his wife:  Tracy L. (Royer) Baerwald on April 15, 2017 whom he married July 7, 2001.

He is survived by his mother; his children & spouses:  Justin Baerwald of Greenville, Tara & Michael Ginger of Greenville, Jesse Baerwald & Mary Gibson of Greenville, Amber & Adam Duncan of Greenville, & Olivia Baerwald of Greenville; his grandchildren:  Paige Hart, Levi Kolb, Audrey Duncan, Aiden Duncan, & Evie Baerwald; his brother & sister in law:  Ken & Betty Baerwald of Elkhorn, Wisconsin; his sisters:  Sharon Weber of Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, Sandra Baerwald of Portland, Oregon; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephew and friends. 

Services will be held on Thursday January 28, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio with Pastor Todd Reish officiating.  Burial will follow in Greenville Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Wednesday January 27, at the funeral home.  Veterans services will be conducted on Thursday at the funeral home by the Greenville Veterans Honor Guard.  Memorial contributions may be made to The Cancer Association of Darke County.
